It seems a dll is missing on your computer, although it should be included in the MPM distribution. I appreciate any comment on the new software. Although I try to hide the algorithmic complexity from the user as much as possible, a basic understanding of the underlying process is very helpful. MoonPanoramaMaker is a complicated piece of software. You can find most of the discussions with users in this forum thread. There you can also download the new Windows installer. Of course, manual alignment ist still possible as well.Ī list of all new features can be found on the release page of the open-source repository. From the offset it computes the pointing error of the telescope. MPM uses the attached USB camera to take still pictures of the area around the landmark and automatically measures the offset against a reference foto. In the new version, MPM can do that itself. So far, every once in a while the user had to align the telescope mount with a landmark on the moon. The most important new feature is the so-called auto-alignment. Pros: pretty versatile, possible to create pretty realistic effects, and FREE.After one year of development, today I released a new version (V0.9.5) of my MoonPanoramaMaker software. usually have to export a swf and then view it outside of sqirlz to test. and the preview mode is really sluggish and makes it tough to get an accurate guage of your settings. not ideal and pretty pointless.i've used it on several computers, some of them fairly decent fast processors. I had to create a work around using masks in flash. if you're letting sqirlz create the water surface for you this works, but if not it SUCKS. letting sqirlz create the water surface results in very unrealistic mercury ponds.the alpha channel function does some weird behaviors where it throws away (blocks out in all white) portions of the photo inside the alpha layer that it thinks you don't need. fairly convincing effects if you turn the transparency all the way up and use the actual water surface in the photos. has done almost everything I needed it to, including creeks, waterfalls, and lakes. Overall, it works well and the price is right :) took me a while to figure out how to do a number of the th ings I wanted to, the documentation for it beyond VERY basic getting-started info is pretty much non-existent. Some of the effects you can create are truly stunning - check out the developer homepage for a few examples - although it can take some time to render photos correctly, it's certainly wrth the effort. The latest release has added some extra effects which are quite interesting which include general rainfall and glossy reflecting areas of water in cincentric circles. Animations can be saved as Adobe Flash files, animated GIFS, AVI video clips and for images, bitmap, JPEG, PNG and TIFF files. Unfortunately, there are not a large amount of output format options to choose from. You can also change the ripple shapes and wave details plus even add snowflake effects and add depth to other ripple effects. The pools can be any shape and you can define several factors such as the wave size, perspective and water transperency. Sqirlz Water Reflections allows you to add rippling pools of water, rain or snow effects, to images or AVI videos. Add eye-catching water effects to your picturesĪdding water effects or ripple effects to videos is one of the coolest ways to give your videos an extra touch of class.
